La Fleur is an asymmetric triangular shawl worked from left to right in a DK-weight yarn.
The pattern, designed on a reverse stockinette background, reminds me of seeds growing and turning into a beautiful wild flower fields. (In French, La Fleur means ‘The Flower’).
Instructions are both on charts and written row by row.
Yarn:
About 450m / 490y DK-weight yarn.
The white sample is knit with 2 skeins of Stein Fine Wool® by The Grey Sheep.co. The pink sample is knit with 2 skeins of ByNight Dyes Orion DK dyed with cochineal.
Needles:
4,5mm / US #7 (Using circular needles will make it more comfortable to knit - Adapt needle size to obtain gauge.)
Size:
160cm - 63" / 70 cm - 27,5"
Gauge (after blocking) :
17 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm/4" in stockinette stitch
Gauge is not necessary but a different one will affect the size of the finished shawl or the amount of yarn used and the quantity of yarn needed.
